URGENT SUPPORT INTERVENTION FOR FLOOD DISPLACED PERSONS IN NIGERIA
Pictures of submerged communities, flooded farmlands, houses ,schools, hospitals, washed out bridges , destroyed roads and thousands of people seeking shelter in makeshift camps and all whatnots is the present reality of most States in Nigeria at the moment.
From Bayelsa, a state in the southern Nigeria, where almost 70 percent of communities have been submerged in the rampaging flood with collapsed infrastructure ,to Taraba in the North of the country the story is the same,requiring a urgent relief plan for the victims and displaced persons.
The trauma for affected families is better imagined than experienced ,especially for families who have lost their loved ones and breadwinners to the flood.
For most affected persons whose source of daily income have been destroyed, it is a far more reaching agony of a different sort.
